Hello guys I'm having a weird pain in my left arm and chest, I haven't go to the doctor because I don't have health insurance right now. I'm not sure if this is because the way I'm using my left arm with the keyboard while working (I'm right handed), you know, most 3d and 2d software use ctrl+z, ctrl+alt, wasd, etc... I've…
I had similar pain in my left arm/chest. It was a pinched nerve due to an inflamed disc. Go see a doctor though. Seriously, the internet is not a replacement for a Doctor.
Maybe try seeing a physiotherapist as well as a general practitioner. I came from an unrelated blue collar job of 8 years and for the last 4 years I have been sitting on a computer most of the day and it took it's toll on my body. About a year ago I started to try and look after myself a bit more. I used to get lower back…
Reminds me of a weird sharp pain I felt in my right bicep area. There's no pain when I touch or press the area but lifting my arm overhead or resting my arm on the table to use the mouse that's when it hurts. The pain expanded towards the back of my neck. I live in Canada (home of the free universal health care) but I'm…
I did too. Ordered troponin test you can do yourself at home and it was negative. Stopped to worry about and it has gone on its own. I am not a medical specialist although , just read about the test in internet.
Thank you guys Yea I agree Internet is not a replacement for a Doctor, but I wanted to know if it was common for cg artists since some of us don't get too serious about ergonomics while working until we start to get hurt. @MagicSugar : I did not knew that about Canada, that's awesome. Thanks for the help.
Don't google what is wrong with you. It will just tell you that you're dying. Make sure to stretch before an art session and take a lot of breaks in between. If it continues maybe go to a free clinic. I'm not sure how health care works anywhere outside of Canada. sorry
This also sounds a bit like a heart-related issue. You should definitely seek some treatment. Better safe than sorry. What's a few dollars vs. possible death or stroke? Worth paying for IMHO.
