Because everyone believes more cores = better active work or better "productivity". Productivity sounds "cool" but it is too broad of a term and people love to overuse it when it comes to CPUs. Boost clock issue comes down to the MB. To be fair to the MB manufacturers AMD is advertising speeds that are pretty much at the limit of what's achievable within reason on Ryzen 3000.
