Yes, you can still do it, but it means costs and time, not just for the applicant, but also the company and therefore a reason for rejection. Problem that a company faces each time they want to employ someone from the outside, therefore they become less attractive to invest into and therefore there are less companies in… -

Both Switzerland and Norway aren't as "out" as Britain would be immediately after an exit. Norway, for example, is part of the "EU-light", the EEA.
