It seems like the general consensus is to either just stick with the current programs or spend time re-purposing them to fit our needs. you could build your ideal modeling programm in cinema 4D at least UI wise. The Interface is completely modular, you can place every button anywhere you want, and its very open for scripting and creating plugins that can execute features you want.
