Great work on this one. MD can be very stressful sometimes, but for sure its a great help in design clothes. You're doing great, I really like her design, I'm looking foward to see where it goes! ;)
I think for something that has any significant portion of folds, its worth it...you just can't replicate that level of realism in a short amount of time sculpting from scratch. I prob won't use MD for skintight stuff or accessories like pouches but for larger garments, I absolutely will start using it more and more.
Nice progress so far. Agree with Apllana, definitely worth having a play around with the material settings to try and get it more to your liking. Especially if its a thick fabric like leather that you're going for, you're going to want to be looking for much thicker folds than are there atm. My experience has been the same…
MD truly does wonders once you get familiar with it. I'm not sure what fabric you're going for with the jacket, but at the moment I think its material is a little too soft which might explain some of the thin wrinkles you're getting and how quickly it falls down to the sides.
