   Well stylized characters are generally all the same honestly. They CAN be completely different, but look at Disney's characters for example : they all look alike.    I think practicing drawing might help, or looking at drawing tutorials. 2D artists imagine their character features as shapes to create variety. Here's some examples of tutorials I keep.
