There seems to be a bit of a rendering issue involving the Viewport 2.0 rendering of the Overlay Append Mesh lines (though the same effect is present with regular wireframes). Using the legacy renderers seem to have their own bugs like when holding tab to draw a line of quads causes the overlay append mesh lines to vanish…
THank you! This has bugged me for a long while, so much so I had to go to Topogun for fixes, now I should be able to stay in Maya for quick changes. Cheers!
maybe its a clipping plane issue. In your camera settings reduce the far clip plane. You cant tumble orthographic cams, bit you can make the cam non orthographic by disabeling the tickbox in the cams settings. I think its better to create a new camera and set the angle of view to 0, which has almost the same effect .
Good call on the angle of view reduction even if it's a bit hacky, least it's usable for the time being unless someone has a better idea to reduce the issue.
When working with transparent materials, the sorting issues get really annoying; but in the viewport settings, if you change the method to "Depth Peeling", those issues all go away. Could work making the mesh's material slightly transparent, with the viewport's "depth peeling" method turned on.
