I know a few years back there was a multitude of Quick save scripts for textures but it seems that they don't want to work for CC ... or at least after mucking about with QSM, Quick Save Maps and Vtools none of them will work... Is there a new one that does work or a workflow that I'm missing to make saving out Textures…
If you're able to edit that you might want to update the Quick Save Maps link as his site is dead but he did upload it to Github https://github.com/felixSchl/quick-save-maps
Maybe go old school? Record a new action, save your file, stop the action and rename the action to match the file name. Now when you play it your texture gets saved with no fuss or pop ups :)
Well Thanks to tadpole I un-dumb'd myself and just re recorded the opening of the quick save maps and bam, they work..no idea why I didn't think of that earlier.
I use the built-in Assets Generator for texture export. You'll need to add ".png32" as an extension if your texture has 8-bit transparency and scaling down to 50% only works if the texture layers are exactly the size of the canvas, as far as I know.
