Awesome tutorial! It does sucks that Edge Detect is not the same in 5.0.3 as the 5.0 version in this tut, at the moment. They are working on a fix now and also trying to allow the "broken" 5.0 version also so we can use the grayscale instead of it on top of the binary one.
Very, very new to substance, but a decent alternative I did while following this was to make the cells in saw in a stone substance and find those edges.
