   Hey, Thanks for the comments for starters. I've made an attempt at making the blade "Dirtier" but found it hard to find stuff like tutorials on it. Would have any advice on tutorials out there? This is the newest version AKA the "Dirtier" version: Edit: forgot to add the first version for comparison:

   Check out the Vertex Documents by ArtbyPapercut. I know the first one has some cool tutorials on handpainted work that may be useful.

   I would suggest the "hand painted weapon" tutorial from Tyson Murphy (Lead Character Artist at Blizzard), it's very good and give a good insight to Blizzards unique art style
