I'd say that he should just attach a smart phone to his arm and make an app to control the camera, but buttons are nice. The tactile feedback lets you work without looking at the keypad. I animate with a mouse with 14 extra buttons for just that reason.
Yeah I have seen some crazy master classes with artists using a Nostromo pad, they even have an alternative "thank you" button for there twich feeds :)
That guy is awesome haha, great video. I'm in the age bracket where I had no clue what the Power Glove was, pretty sweet though Nintendo didn't exactly give up on any sort of motion control though!
