I just need more time to fiddle with the animation systems to come up with a better solution to support more than one animation per hero that doesn't exponentially increase server harddrive or bandwidth usage.
The functionality to get API access to workshop stuff isn't there because legally the work still belongs to the respective author of the uploaded content. It only becomes Valve's when they put it into the game, at which point they can chose to redistribute freely. Really nice project, I'd love to have some animation…
