Its entirely possible that I don't understand the hype because I am too young and have not seen the original but it seemed like just a lot of explosions and no real story? I love explosions - just not sure I understand what the movie is really about and its hard for me to get excited..

I really enjoyed the film, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys "summer explosion flicks", but people are acting like it's the second coming of film making... and I just don't see it.
