The problem with that is that you'll get people coming for just the items as an alternative to the secret shop except that there's no revenue for the artists. and you don't wanna sell em at the booth (as opposed to giving them out) because then you'll just be a glorified vendor.
Imo i think the cards in the store should be new exclusive sets that cannot be bought till post ti4. and if people want older sets they can come to the booth and do the scans like they did last year.
I definitely agree with Bounch on the workshoppers being alowed to come based on having submissions in the game and registering ahead of time, not just the most popular. This section of TI should be about supporting the artists, not making the most popular even more popular.
