That's a normal behavior on Windows. No need to reinstall your OS. :) Can you try deleting the "allegorithmic" folder present in the shelf folder and restarting Substance Painter ? This folder :C:\Users\*username*\Documents\Substance Painter\shelf\allegorithmic This will force Painter to reinstall the shelf and should…
@Jerc Thanks for your help Jerc. I do what you said but I had another issue. When I uncheck the "read-only" and click ok, the windows asks me administrator permission (I give the permission) and the folder close, but when I go back in the properties of folder, it is set as "read-only". I don't know if this is a bug, but…
So it seems like Substance Designer 5 never remembers which folder I export my outputs to now. If I export, I have to choose the folder and file type (which is pretty much how it's always behaved the first export). But if I close SD and open it the next day, I have to do that all over again if I want to export that graph…
There is an issue with the IRay license system: Renaming the .\bin64\iray folder will fix the crash, we are working with NVidia to solve the issue asap!
Make sure the folders in the shelf are not set to read-only. It will prevent Painter from adding them to the shelf. It will be fixed in the next release.
Hello, a small suggestion for Substance Painter: folder support for the shelf. I have added a lot of textures in the shelf and it's a bit crazy going through thousands of textures. I've mass renamed things to have prefixes to help sort through them with the search. But a folder would be nice. Sorry if I am missing…
Thanks for the tip. In Substance Painter, does "invert mask background" work as intended? If I add a white mask to a folder, paint on some black bits, and then try to invert the mask, it just makes it all solid black. I was expecting it would simply invert everything. Seems to work correctly on a fill layer, but not on…
Update... Looks like that the drag and drop only brought them into the shelf/tools for that one session, they where not in there, the next time I loaded sp 2. I looked into the file folder @ C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\Documents\Substance Painter 2\shelf\presets\tools folder and it shows 2 sets of the files (copied and pasted…
I'm still receiving a crash when Substance Designer opens a new or existing project. Version : 5.3.3 Build: 16905 Only way around this is to do into the regedit and delete the view3d folder.
great news :) Something I asked on the other thread, not sure if it got overlooked: "Also I would be able to tell substance to default to tga for bakes, so I don't have to switch it from png each time and being setting the to default to linked instead of embedded. One more thing, be able to chose the bake folder inside…
