Painter Feature request - I'd love to be able to bake information from my mesh based on my layer stack. For example, let's say I have stamped out a bunch of normal map info from alphas. I'd like to take that and use that combined normal map to bake a different curvature/AO map that I can then feed into generators higher up…
Hi Guys, I have found a consistent reproducible crash in Substance Designer 5.1.0. It happens when working with functions, admittedly in a "wrong" way. 1. Open Substance Designer and create a new Substance, any setting is fine. 2. In the Explorer, in the Unsaved Package create a new Function. 3. In the Untitled_Function…
@electricsauce You can bake a 32bit image by simply specifying an output format that support 32Bit (exr for example). But you won't be able to take advantage of the 32bits in a graph as the substance only supports 16bits for the moment.
Hmm. I can't seem to copy and paste nodes from one graph to another. In the example I am trying to copy across different packages but it doesn't work if it's the same package either. Am I doing something wrong?
Feature Request: Could you add a Rounded Edge option into Substance Painters baker? Something similar to Modo's rounded edge baker. For Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFZLITaAsS8&t=624s I remember seeing something like this in Substance Designer?? I can't remember what it was called though...
Baking the curvature should be clean enough if you have a normal map. Either by backing the normal map at the same time as the curvature or by having a normal loaded in the additional map slots. If you get something where the polygon are visible as in your example, it's because the normal map wasn't loaded or because the…
A way to see values calculated inside function nodes would improve legibility tremendously when creating new empty nodes. For example if two float value nodes are added together, seeing the result in the addition node would help. Some sample FX graphs do some very interesting things but it's very hard to understand the…
