It's basically an open beta; near anyone who "applies" gets an invite (I suggest trying to send an application in before asking someone for an invite code). hah! I'm actually saving some money to have someone else code up my website. I did a prototype site in html 5 that transforms from portfolio to resume by clicking a button, but I had to put that aside for Dinosaur. :p -

I know quite a few people that got front page as students/amateurs/juniors/not in the industry. I think it just comes down to quality of work and of course whatever style is popular helps. -

To be honest i think the majority of our argument comes from the inherit differences between 2d and 3d. 2d is a much more marketable prospect without the support of animation or a game than 3d can be unless you are pascal Blanche who uses 3d to make illustrations. -

Trending comes and go. I think it's something along the line of 'more than 20+ Views per hour = trending'. When its view drops to say, 18 per hr, then it's not being trended anymore. (number and formula are examples.) My Trended submission got like 20 likes and 800+views for like a day or two before it was no longer being… -

Deviant art is exactly the reason why i bring this up. They are the ONLY dedicated art service that caters as much to the needs of fans as it does artists. Why do you think it is still hands down the largest art community in the world? What about the thousands of artists that have had successful careers via the exposure… -

Probably requested already. But i'd really like to see a way to categorise work. So i could have a "featured" place for best work. This would be the pieces people see first when they visit my page. I could also create other folders, like "sketches", "speedpaints" etc.. The "sub categories" would probably be accessed using… -
