nope... a lot of features are taking more time than a year and therefore they are not showing up in this release... there is a lot more goin on behind the scenes... for example ICE (moondust) in softimage took about 3 years to get into a release... -

I've tried all of them and none seem to behave like the 2012 for example. When I unselect something the camera seems to pick any random point to pivot around. Editing big stuff feels quite weird, sometimes it's easier to just turn on the WalkThrough mode and strafe around the object :P -

For the thin seam display by default, just find your "unrwapuvw.ini" in your "<Maxroots>\plugcfg_ln" folder. Open in a texteditor, search for "ThickOpenEdges" and set it to 0. I always get the feeling from Autodesk, Maya or Max, like they are not using software they are making. When testing features, modeling for example, it's like couple of tests on new feature is done on a cube. So as long as tool is successfully started, it didn't cause a crash and finally it seems like something is happening… -

I am mainly talking about the core UV tools in both Max and Maya. Max's relax algorithm is about the same as Headus which is about the same as Maya's. What problems do you run into with Max's relax? How is Headus's relax algorithm better? Do you have some examples? Except you have to export as .obj, open another app and then export it from headus and import it back into your main app.…
