Hi all! How to make a pattern like this? As you can see, each shape must be rotated randomly by an angle that is a multiple of 60 degrees, but this cannot be done in any node. It would be possible (most likely) to do this using FX-map or Pixel Processor, but I hardly know them. Please tell me how to solve this problem. Or…
Does anyone know how I would go about making textures for say, yarn, fur, cloth? I feel like almost all of the tutorials I find are on hard surfaces like metal and such. I like stuff like the zebra skin in the substance database. Some of the cloth is nice too but I'd like to change the crease patterns.
Thanks Josh! :D Things I still want to tackle on this one are the more porous like smaller details for the brick, like grains of sand embedded in the brick like you see sometimes. Add an option for "casting" marks like indents or patterns, make the mortar stand out a bit more, and make the roughness pop a bit more. After…
Quick question, does anyone know how to overlay a material you make like a leaf to be scattered and positioned over a procedural tileable material like a floor/road? I'd like to see if this is doable without bitmaps, and I've yet to see substances with scattered objects over the terrain.
I am very interested in this as well. I like the fan pattern shape but also want to understand how FX nodes impact the creation of something like this.
