did some progress, most of the time testing the new marmoset release - added some debri and variation to the model but still not finished direct from marmoset - not happy with the materials yet marmoset + photshop + awesome grass brush :P
Wow guys! very good interpretations of the scene ... it is december now but i try to finish my scene anyway! NO Diffuse - only cavity normalmap displacementmap for tesselation - marmoset as always
Really nice work, I like how your iteration process refine your scene more and more each time. Do you plan to render your scene in a complete game engine in the end to add more complicated post processing effects? If that's what you want to achieve, you should probably start to move your assets to these engine to watch if…
Thanks for that Video . It's a good method. I've tried that a few times and it works well for some type of tiling textures. I find if you do the methods on zclassroom well for tiling textures then you can fix any small problems in photoshop after and it's quite easy. Here is my pillar base. Right hand side is with marmoset…

I'll edit tomorrow once I've looked at the thread again :) Just blocked out the base textures for path, wall and floor textures, but a lot more work needs doing so any crit would be cool :) Still in marmoset at the moment but I'll…
Looking good so far, you could exaggerate those insets a bit more so you have more control about the depth in the end :) As long as your rocks are not too highpoly you could tile it in your normal modeling programm. I´m using softimage to create my basic tilable rocks. Then I import them into zbrush. Afterwars I tile them…
I created some quick foliage for my scene. With just some subdivided and stretched cubes in Softimage. I created a normalmap for the grass but it creates too much contrast so i dont use it. Because there is not so much time left i just created some damaged feet for the statue. ;) Next step would be the ground for my…
@ Dave Jr: I made my Entrance arch higher, but I made sure not to go TOO far up so there would be enough stones to make it look structurally sound, with the little ledge on the inside. @TheKorruptOne Nice start on the blockout. I don't know if its, me or the angle, but it looks like your pillars are a little too tall or…
