Since my apps are usually full screen, I have a notebook. Then eventually I remember what it is (key commands, workflows). I do not like apps floating above my DCC apps. Or post-its.
@visoutre I use Notezilla. It is a sticky notes app with some advanced organizing features. Good for taking quick notes. New version supports syncing with cloud and access from phone.
hmm.. a few people recommended Evernote so I'll check it out, but I tried using apps for note-taking before and it didn't last long so we'll see how it goes...
I use Google Tasks as kind of a note taking / task manager thing. You can make an application shortcut out of this link: https://mail.google.com/tasks/ig I also have an iPhone / iPad app that lets me add items while in meetings.
