i am wondering, if a team of 5 devs get 4 MayaLT seats for regular devs and 1 Maya core seat for the inhouse tech/tools guy then will it be possible to implement the tools created in Maya core into those MayaLT seats ? also please integrate shaderFX into Maya core because one should not have to buy both Maya core and Maya… -

Thanks for the info. I got it to work. I wont lie it feels a bit...weird with some stuff missing. Calling it a slimmed down version of Maya is an understatement. Having only viewport 2.0 was kind of an odd feeling, but its kind of nice not worrying about the viewport mode anymore. I was able to do a lot of the usual stuff… -

It depends on the feature. Sometimes having to wait 6 months to a year until customers finally get your stuff in their hands kind of sucks as a developer. well, according to ADSK it seems that opening up mel scripting, unlocking poly caps and plugin support will most likely hurt their core market because current core users might think they don't need to spend $3675 on core while they could just get by fine with MayaLT for $795 i can understand that could be a possibility,… -

@Nox I think Thomas and I mostly simply want a preference setting that auto sets tumble pivot to selection each time we make a new selection. That would be super simple where I can't imagine Maya devs could break anything, so I wouldn't worry. Although I wonder if it would be good to also have another complementary… -

About GoZ support in Maya LT, I take a look at GoZBrushFromMaya.mel. It relies on the "system" and "fopen" command to work properly. The "system" command is not supported in Maya LT. And The "fopen" command doesn't work on "a" or "w" mode. These two limitations kinda block GoZ from working in Maya LT. If the intention is… -
