I feel like the forms created by the shoulder pads are not stylistically similar to the rest of his armor, like his chest plates or thigh plates, but this should be a relatively quick fix? Unless the pads need to be incongruent to the rest of the armor design? Otherwise, the thrust of the armor design is clear :).
Wow guys, thanks for the responses and critiques! I really appreciate it. I made some more armor pieces for him and made some changes to parts based on what you guys said. As for his height, it looks alright to me but here he is without his armor just to be sure!
Nice! I would suggest to make all armor pieces and belts in polygon modeling software instead of zbrush, and then add damage, ornaments, etc., in zbrush. At least it would work for me :) Also, maybe he need some cloth hanging behind those hanging armor pieces on the hips? Good luck!
I think the textures look good! One thing that strikes me as strange is the armor hanging down over his butt. That one butt triangle just looks off to me. I also think because of that it possibly gives the chain mail underneath too much space on the back side of the character, whereas on the front side it's pretty well…
I look at the thighs and kind of want to see the armor there flare out to the side. Rotated out a bit. I think it would break his silhouette a little. Not too much of course or else he's going to be smacking his hand and fingers on it constantly and that would be no bueno
