ok nevermind, i figured it out. even though the mesh was still visible and nothing was hidden it was acting as though i had ctrl+shift isolated just the hands. I dont know but just for the hell of it i ctrl+shift then highlighted the whole mesh and pressed new from polypaint and got all of my polypaint info right to my uvs…
ok just checked that uv at the bottom, its not touching or going over the border edge. as for polypaint info i was working on multiple layers but i baked them all down. heres what my layers and other settings are looking like.
