Just an update, learned how to paint over seams in 3d coat which will be super handy in future! working on the tree textures at the moment, no spec on it atm
Sculpted a new tile piece in mudbox. painted diffuse and spec maps in there as well. made some modular pieces to make up the pool border and floor sections.
Moonshank : That loosk really good,the spec make it look maybe too golden, if you see the far end it has this orange shining. Also is this a complete mesh or is tileable ?
Thanks for sharing this, I think I try to put too much detail and contrast in the diffuse textures when I work, instead of letting the normal/spec maps do most of the work.
Spent all day getting the wall hammered out. Adjusted the color of my floor tiles, they were way too red and saturated... but now they don't match the wall so I'll need to tweak that too. Need to fix a seam and replace the center cross-shaped brick with another one that doesn't repeat so obviously. That entails re-baking…
Long time no update! Great shit going on in here keep it up! Started back up working on a wall texture. Might go back to the drawing board with it though, what do you guys think?(No spec map yet)
