Not sure if i get what you mean on this one,but you can put your NM in the Diffuse slot in any shader to show nm colour in the viewport.. -

You should be able to set up regular directional lights relative to the camera and screengrab that way, using a lambert diffuse with a white surface. i.e. a red light facing left, a green one facing up and a blue one facing forwards (relative to the camera)
