You can check how I make these on youtube, I made some tutorials.. they are a bit old, but I talk about some useful stuff which can be applied to achieve this kind of textures.. I might do a full tutorial in the future from the start of the modeling, to the last… -

Really sweet looking stuff! I agree with pixelb though, the axe looks better before the blood. I'd love to see the textures on these guys and your texture-tutorials on youtube, couldn't find them. I'd love to tap in to those skills of yours:) Looking foreward to seein more stuff! -
