Correct, for these rocks the diffuse textures are pretty much desaturated and then I'm using vertcolor to match the color of the terrain. I usually sample the color directly from the megaTerrain Diffuse for a close starting point. Your'e right, that is the correct seam. My seam line was a decoy to keep you on your toes :)
