There's a way to setup brushes to correspond to the number keys; however, when I was first learning, I found it easier to use the B key. Zbrush: Can't switch back to Standard Brush.
Hey guys, weird issue here. Once I switch away from the Standard Brush, it won't let me switch back... It just seems to ignore me. I've tried switching it in every way, though different menus, etc, but no luck. So, as it stands, if I want to use the Standard brush, I just need to restart zBrush, and use it before switching… -

Ah, well, I cloned it a few minutes ago, and the issue doesn't exist with the cloned version, and so that is definitely a good temporary fix. Still, I'd like to know what the deal is, haha. Thanks for the help, by the way. It's certainly an unusual error. I've never had an error like that before 4 r4 -

Sounds like a weird issue, one I've never had and can't recreate. What happens if you clone the Standard brush first? -

You don't accidentaly set it as your smooth brush?? I sometimes have that happen, try holding shift, see if it switches to your standard brush, if it does hold shift and reselect the smooth brush. hope it helps -

Interesting idea, but nope. I don't really use project files, I just load in ZTL files. -

Are you opening your own project file by chance? I sometimes lose the Undo function after opening a project file. but if I restart Zbrush and start out with a default Pixologic project file, then load mine I don't have a problem with the Undo.
