i don't, not working in the industry but trying to build my way too it, and just finding it impossible to do so while i work 12 hours a day sometimes more at my day job, and to work on art and code, i always come home way to burnt out, and when i have a day off or a good day, i usually want to spend it with my girlfriend.…
This is a good thread. My day starts at around 6 or 6.30. 4 hrs before the actual core hrs at work start. I can get some research if i want, but mainly is so that i can work without any distractions. My day can be pretty hectic, and most of the time i find that the solid 4 hrs of work that i get before the day start is one…
Well I haven't tried to pursue working professionally as of yet, I'm still just trying to better myself and my work before doing anything of that nature. I'm working a tech support job right now. Admittedly, it's tough to go to work, come home, do more work, sleep, repeat. Thankfully the "family/friends" thing is a little…
I try to do most my social stuff on the weekends and keep my evenings for my boyfriend and art stuffs. Come in to work at 8, eat lunch at my desk so I can leave around 4, hit the gym, do a few hours of art, eat, art some more. Lately I've been breaking the norm by going to the gun range once every 1-2 weeks, hiking (which…
I work at a call center currently so thats my 8 hours right there I come home watch movie or two with my girl. She has the same days off as me as well. Then I wake up and from 10am-2:30pm I am doing 3d get ready for work at 2:30. So I can only dedicate about 4 and half hours a day to 3d on the days me and my girl have off…
I work 40 - 45 hours average. Then side projects when I come home or I keep researching stuff I came across work or play around with interesting problems. maybe 50 - 55 hours if that's counted in, but I like the fexibility of doing this extra work at home. That way I can take breaks, chat with my gf and do stuff at my own…
My routine is similar to a lot of people here; I do my 40 hours and I go home. Occasionally I will stay a little longer at work if I want/need to get a piece finished, but generally I work from 8.30ish to 5pm. If I was allowed to start and leave work earlier I definitely would, but the earliest I can finish is 5. I try and…
This. If you're ever just tired of it, feeling burnt out, just leave it be for a while. Go do something completely unrelated. I'm not sure how the quote goes, something like "If you love it set it free, if it's meant to be, it will come back."
I'd rather dive around for an hour, come back and work an hour of inspired work than to sit in front of my computer and work 2 hours of uninspired work. Getting away from your art is sometimes the best thing you can do.
