   A matter of simplicity I could certainly put them into different channels to store layers, or I could use the same image 2-3 times, either way works. @Jonnyquid Thank you very much! if you've any suggestions as to what I should do next let me know!

   thanks for sharin. any reason why you aren't putting things into individual channels instead of making new images for every shape?

   You could not have timed this any better, I was just starting to research how to make a hologram type thing in UDK, and you sir have done an exceptional job explaining it! Much thanks.
