I don't post on here much but this is what I have been working on during my free time, hopefully this will get me to work on it more and faster. I am a huge fan of the R-Type series and decided to model one myself with a few inspiration from other spaceships like Ikaruga (weapons) Still some details to add and few changes.… -

Finally got a chance to sit down and work on this more. Here are the side weapons, I still plan to add a bit more details to them but going to move along to the center cannon block out and a try to get a lot of the rear details done. C&C welcome -

REVIVED! Well, its been a while since I updated this since I forgot about it and not having much time to progress as much as I wanted to. I am almost done with the low poly model and is currently sitting at around 6500 tris. I am also going to be using nDO2 to add more detail or fix some of the panel lining. C&C are… -

It looks like you have very tiny rivets on the thrusters. You might want to make those bigger so they show up when you bake a normal map from this. This goes for any other small details you have too. You're also going to want to bevel the paneling a bit on the ship or it's hardly going to show up in the bake. For example:…
