If I had to try to define 'art' I'd say it's something created to be experienced, in particular to make the person viewing it feel something. If someone else (like an employer) calls you an artist, sure, you're an artist. If someone is the kind of person who gives a fuck about the definition of artist, and whether or not someone "is" an artist, then usually that person isn't worth listening to.
