Yea, I actually needed something like this script last week. I just never thought of searching for a script until this thread lol. Maya should have a lot of these tools but I guess the generous community giving away these scripts for free makes up for it. -

Dude thank you so much ! .. Thats exactly what i mean ! .. I just dont know, why autodesk doesnt integrate this usefull tool into Maya.. why only Max has it ? .. There's no select similar for Maya. You can still use the script TeZzy sent, but to explain what you are asking if you go to the Select -> Select Using Constraints, there's an "area" tab, play around with that. -

Thanks for your replies, the script is very usefull thanks, but not exactly what iam looking for ! hmm no, i just tried to recreate this Plane. (thanks to scotthomer ) I only know grow selection and so on.. but is there a quick way to select all faces in between - like the image said ?
