you are right with the ear, my bad with the false alarm and that brow hud... had some headaches with that too. some heroes should not have that to give us a little more freedom..
use as much uv space as possible and i'm afraid there's not much of a freedom with 256x256 resolution. It's barbaric, but that's valve's silly rules. I've got a question, how did you made an animated texture for dota?
Another way would be to paint a mask on the blade and then do an extract, that gives you a separate subtool which you have a bit more freedom with than if you just pull the geo out of the blade subtool. (in Zbrush)
That may be true, but this is just the workshop, not a country. There will always be 2 sides to it. The ones who are all for total freedom and you can do whatever you want and whatever is necessary to get ahead in the workshop, and the ones who defend what the workshop originally was and was supposed to be.
Great ward guys! Looking forward to the other projects you have going on with Nexon. @alexxrafael, You should retopo after you are done in mudbox. This way you have more freedom when you sculpt. If you have trouble getting inside the poly budget you should only focusing on getting the silhouette down first.
So decided to call my goggles done, so here they are! Please vote on them aswell!: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=155191099 I'd say I need to work more on the presentation. How do you guys do it? Dota shaders in Maya/Max and render from there? Not so much freedom for your composition inside Dota.
Since Wraith King gets an extra Armour slot from today's update patch, the creative freedom grew stronger and I finished this ceremonial set for Blender2Dota. His modelling works are incredible, you should check him out like... right now. Currently the sword model is done, he passed the texture work and masks to me and I…
Just in general, I think it's a bit of an exagerated law... but we all know that China is not known for freedom of opinion i guess. So just out of curiosity, is Left 4 Dead totally banned there? Darksiders 1 & 2? If you think of it a good 40/50% of games have something related to death, and i would say a good 90% involve a…
@Eddy Shin: Instead of selecting wearable item when importing, select ability and scroll down to jug. I do not see healing ward on jug's tech requirement page, so I have no idea if valve accepts them nor do I know the poly limit/map size. It is possible they accept them and you just have more freedom when making them, but…
While I find your concerns legit, I don't think they made it to lighten their workload. From what I can see, they are trying to give the item creators more freedom. If you have a presentation for your set in mind, go ahead. If it looks cool, they will use it. If it's not cool but you have a nice set, it will get in game…
