I have an curve controller which is being driven by twocontrained parents, and the parenting is set so the sum of the two parents is 1 (e.g. 0.7 and 0.3 of parenting factor). When I rotate one of the parent controller it all goes fine, but there are some specific rotation values that make the child go in a crazy rotation…
when you parent the small circle to the big one and move the parent, the bigger circle the smaller one is supposed to move in accordance with the bigger one right thats the way parenting is supposed to work right? why doesnt this seem to be working?
any parent transformations are passed on to the children, it sounds like the locator had transformations on it, and when you un-parented the object the parent transformation was removed
Are you parenting using shift>p or are you using a parent constraint? Using shift>p will always make the child inherent the transforms and rotation of the parent. If you are using parent constraint make sure that maintain offset is checked on so that it stays in place.
