seem to be a few errors on the insides, I think you need to cut between the verts on the circles and the nearest corners on that rectangular area at the bottom if you get what I mean :p
saw this over at Sinster Circle. The progress you made on him is great! I really like how you're exploring the different textures on his head. Can't wait to see it finished!
it's worth mentioning that is not an absolute rule-if you want to texture a quarter of the circle and rotate the texture you'll need that vert. Depends on if you need to worry about polys or texture space more
I would sculpt some brick mesh and insert it into the areas I've circled in blue, just to give that area some depth and get ride of those straight lines.
"add detail in S Painter to the normal map by stamping a circle indent at the intersection to indicate a hole or recess to house the handle. " Can you be a little bit more specific on it?
EDIT: *joins the index finger with the thumb of his right hand, makes a circle. Slightly bends forward and says.* One does not simply use the search engine on the Polycount.
yeah getting stuck on the facebook timeline can be dangerous. starts with a cat video that takes you to youtube which later turns into Russian car crashes, dangerous circle.
If you want to model the whole thing make just a section of it like 1/10 and then set the pivot in the middle of the circle and copy over 10 times while rotating.
The selection mode changing in Max for various reasons really bites .. is there by chance a way to lock it down somehow? Seriously, I'm never going to use circle select. Ever.
