Same issue with pen input, wacom has been there for decades - and who uses them besides artists? Or take smartphones, Samsung has Note series with quite a decent stylus (for a phone), and still it is being outsold by Apple and Samsung`s own S-series which costs just as much. Just be aware, they are massive timesinks. If you do start with Persona 4, then it will be much harder to try and play through 3 (mechanically, P4 is a much better game).
