Hey Mike, have you tried turning the bias down in Xnormal to something like 0.0001? It makes quite a difference to the results from the default, in my experience.
Is there anyway to increase the range of the camera's frustum area without changing the ToD because I'm happy with my sun's position. To everyone who says it's a shadow cascade and bias problem, it isn't quite that.:poly142:
I believe you've applied it as an object space normal map, try unchecking that box. If it's not that try toggling Scale & Bias or in the Options button Srgb.
I really like this last one. But it's strange that the rocks aren't reflected in the water, while the taller things are. Might want to adjust the reflection bias.
Thanks! The shadow bias helped a lot. Also just decreasing the overall size of the landscape so the polys are more "compact" worked. Even though there's the same amount of polys.
Try it for yourself to see. Everyone who makes a video has a bias. Never forget that each video is a shortcut, a filter, details are left out, maybe important details.
If I remember correctly you can change the bias in the POM settings, making it "stick out" instead :) Look really nice, looking forward for an update :)
