Be careful, I had a 500GB hard drive (Western Digital if that matters)... it decided one day that it was going to pack up. I then had this "It also doesnt appear in my computer anymore but does in device manager."... would hear the noise of it connecting even, but unable to access it. I would also suggest taking it apart… -

I don't think Autodesk supports Maya PLE anymore, it went the same way as GMax. Other free options are Softimage Mod Tool which is up to version 7.5. Or Houdini which also offers a free learning edition, though it's not used much for game development afaik. I'm not sure if Autodesk allows a user to sell a license, a lot of… -

Carlos, I was working on something like with one of the forum admins here :P The unity part is mostly done but I guess he never implemented the forum plugin part of it. These are probably fine if you want a job as a prop artist. But probably no good if you want to be a character artist. So probably good to focus on what you want to do most. They are nice models, but too much for a game. Deffinately use them to bake normals/ao for a low poly. Then tex it up and finish so you have some… -

I haven't played or bought a new guitar in years but all their advice is sound. One that feels right should be your first consideration, especially the neck of the guitar. And yeah, floating bridges for a starter can equal a lot of frustration. Might want to find something with a fixed bridge unless you really, really want… -

if your doing the whole body at some point, 376 may be a bit much for the head... Especially if there is going to be other stuff on screen. Probably aim for 500 for the whole model.
