I still stand by my opinion that Tetris Attack on SNES is the best game ever. My ex and I would play that for hours, no talking, no blinking. Just pure competitiveness. As for my cube I love my Smash Bros and Mario Party. I'm so cool!
Well, it's just like any greyscale map - it could be handpainted, photosourced, procedurally generated, baked from a high ... anything goes really. You could look up Mari texturing tutorials perhaps, and old Gnomon DVDs covering character texturing for non-realtime rendering. This artist did it through projection in Zbrush…
Witcher 3, Bioshock Infinite, Ryse: Son of Rome, The Order, Team Fortress 2, Dota 2, Guilty Gear Xrd, Remember Me, Transistor, Super Hexagon, Mario Kart 8, Towerfall Ascension, Nidhogg, Rayman Legends, Killing Floor 2, Cuphead

Whoa a recap! Thanks everyone! I'm going to have to make an effort to post more updates for this i think! Mario! The secret isn't that im prolific, it's just that i keep up momentum, even if it's really slow. A little but of progress each week will eventually get a project done!
I modded my textures to have all coal, iron, gold, iron, and diamond blocks as Mario's 8-bit "?" blocks. They all look the same, so it's a mystery what resource falls out of the block when I break it. ..It's more fun than it sounds, I swear!
