Core seems like a let down, they're really going after the 3d printer hobbyists, not so much game artists. Granted I read in the thread, zbcore people will get some kind of discount if they want to upgrade to full. But when they do things like have 20% off during the summit, it's not like it really matters. -

I can make more at Starbucks, yay me.. I'd be happy with half of what artists make.. :D I need to find me somewhere else to work. Just a sucky job front out there at the moment, where 10 bucks an hour doing something I enjoy is better then 20 somewhere where I hate it. -

Hand holding has gotten really bad these days in some cases. Played a game called SolaToRobo on DS about 2 years ago and even 10-20 hours in it still felt the need to re-explain basic controls like jump, throw, etc. regularly. The hand holding was so over the top it eventually ruined the game for me. -

@Thanez, thanks man, you are right about the edges. Now about the legal stuff, what if i change the design a little, maybe 20 % and add some sci-fi design to it, but not to sci-fi, because i still want this to look like a real gun. Should that work without problems? And also adding my own text and logos. -

Wow i had no idea it was that bad, only 20% of the funding is from sponsors? damn.. I'm sorry to hear this, and I'm even more grateful than before for this awesome competition which has driven me and so many others. Perhaps there should be a very very small fee to enter the competition, perhaps something like $5 to enter.… -

To mess around with some of my friends I took one of my quick Zbrush sculpts and turned it into a ink print. To do this I created a shader ball for Zbrush of just black and white, then took a quick render and did some photoshop work and bam! Didn't take me more than 20 mins. It fooled a few a friends. ;) -

Damnit, why am I so broke at the moment...I only live about 20 mins from London, but whilst I can afford to get there (i'm on the underground, so train tickets to anywhere in London from my town only cost £6), I can't afford to actually do anything when I get there... -

@Snakos Thanks for the feedback on the bricks, I thought the grout was looking too clean as well so I have gone back into designer and dirtied it up a bit more but im planning on adding some vertex painting later on and will add a lot more grunge and leaks as well as some graffiti decals which will all help place them and…
