@Geos im busy with other stuff currently and im having a hard time trying to texture it and do the masks :( @belkun I remember last month's challenge, it was full of people participating in it, that made it look fun to me. Not a lot of people are participating in this month's challenge. weird.
Right I'm going in with both feet. At home I am not going to use 3dsmax until I finish this current project in maya. It might be tough but I will do it, and it will be fun. I can post screens here and so on and hopefully after that I will be set. :D
That's a fun problem! I'd suggest adding C4D as the prefix to your thread title, which will draw in people familiar with this software. The tutorials in this thread might be useful for you. https://polycount.com/discussion/179105/digital-meat-cinema-4d-unity-playmaker-and-plugins-tutorials/p1
Finished. hope you dont mind the link - it has more imagery - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/YazArb Very good fun to produce. And i even diped my toes into polycount crit..... i guess she wont be performing yoga, but battling bad guys!
Haha i jumped on my seat when i realized it's a dude from Brussel, really fun concept good job!! Feel like texturing could have benefit form a bit more work on the roughness for the fabric (pattern or such) but really good quality anyway
My idea of creating something like would be like a heart beat monitor or something. I'd want the horizontal sweeping line and the fade-out effect on the visualized line :) Seems like a fun challenge to create. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVm8pFDxUjU&t=13s
Some advice someone gave to me is to figure out what near studios you would want to work for, and make stuff in that art style, that look like it could be just dropped into one of their games. That outdoor scene looks like it would be pretty fun to make!
Haven't posted an update in awhile, so I thought I'd share a few newer characters. This is for a Survivor I recently completed for Beam Team Games - Stranded Deep. Had a ton of fun with this one. More at the Artstation link https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ndxv9
hi Alex, hope you are doing fine! thanks for your comment! unfortunately, I had a heavy flu during the last 10 days, so I didn´t make any progress. I´ll leave the creature as is, so consider it a fun submission.
Yes there's a lot of variety inside Blender, it's fun to create your own workflow with it ! As for Level Design, you maybe need some archi function like the one hidden in the View (N) panel : The user base is mainly on BlenderArtist, but there's also lot of knowledgable people here :)
