Should probably update this thread, its been a while. Still got a few tweaks to make before hand in (make bricks redder, add bucket and paper box, add subtle warping to tables, add dials to main machine). Will probably be coming back to this over summer.
Thank you Benjam and ruberboy :D I was really busy at work this summer, so my progress on this project was really slow. Here you can see a couple of models more for this game and I'll post soon pictures of the next levels showing the art of the new tileset :)
Okay thanks. I will continue creating UVs and using a simple clean asphalt texture for the roads in 3DsMax and then when I finished creating roads, I will have a research for "blender shader" tools in Unity3D. This summer I only create and apply UVs and textures for the roads in 3DsMax.
We have done some tests today with the cry and Unreal -engine day and night System. The cryengine day and night System seems to be the better one. Maybe it is a funny question but is there something like a season sytsem ??? Would be nice to have a Switch from summer to winter time :-)
Hey everyone! Finally back at it, been a busy summer. I've created a project outline with the intent to have an awesome portfolio by October.31st. Ill post my plans up tomorrow, for now here is a screengrab from UDK of the pantry, As always, appreciate any feedback :) Ben
SP1 for Vista is coming out this spring/summer, so you can always wait until then. It fixes a huge amount of issues, as well as increasing performance. I have Vista Ultimate installed, but I've just been using XP on my other partition for the time being.
https://vimeo.com/384949678/17557fcd40 I'm trying to build up a decent reel for summer internships. My animation instructor is actually an architect and most of my classmates are hard-surface modelers, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! :) I can't figure out what to do with the right arm haha
Well our concept artist is quite talented. The main reason why the models would be falling short is simply because Lee just graduated from school this summer so he's still very new to character modeling. I think he's doing a very good job considering his experience.
I'm sure Brigador will do better in the long term. It's one of those Indie gems. They need to get a bunch of medium sized YouTube or twitch steamers that love indie or mech games. Also getting in a bundle or sale would probably help. There's summer game drought and they need to take advantage of it before fall.
@gfelton - Hey thanks a lot! I have been focused on tutorials lately which I am loving. I have some plans for new materials soon :-) Also it is "Summer Sale" time! All tutorials on my Gumroad are on sale for 25% off now through July 5th! Code is "summersale".
