just quick question, if i was to make a 60 000 polygon car for example, how long should it take to model, unwrap and texture? also, what is the key role of a junior artist and what are their expectations? thanks
The renders above look like poser art, which is to say purchased assets put together to form an image. There is nothing wrong with that, but you have to be pretty good to pull it off. The difference in the quality of the figure and background makes the images jarring to look at. It looks like the model doesn't belong in…
The way I'd do it is by using the material workflow. here's a simple example: Substance already comes with a pre-made material node called "fabric009" that you can use with the "material blend" nodes and a few adjustments to make any pattern you want.
and one example of the yellow props uv set. It could be further straightened but i chose to leave it like that for some minor tile skewing imperfections
Really like the style of Godus too, the lighting in the lower right of the example image is really nice. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing how this develops :)
I would really recommend forgetting clothing right now and focusing on the overall anatomy, there are some issues with the arms and hands for example. Keep it up!
