Usually it's used for lightmaps (example on Unity, or from polycount wiki, also on Unreal [1] [2]) . Talking about Unity, note that I'm not sure about that, maybe the detail maps are using UV2? (if a Unity user can confirm)

Can you show the settings for the Green Channel? It looks like your Green Material Mask Depth may not be set to 0 And can you confirm that you have a heightmap in the Alpha channel of your Red Normal Map
In the case of those Naughty dog textures, they're rarely used as displacement maps with tessellation (in game that is, those textures renders are using displacement though). Generally used with parallax occlusion mapping afaik - but maybe someone can confirm that

XFormer 2.1.1 has been released. What's New - Fixed a redraw bug that temporary aligned the object to Z axis when clicking the Apply button or when dragging the confirmation dialog, and "Always Align to Z Axis" is checked.
This sounds bad but do you drink a lot of booze, slip? I've had similar symptoms when partying a bit too hard while vacationing with friends in the past, and a quick googling seems to confirm that the two can be related.
