You've posted a lot of stuff here so you probably won't get any focused feedback. My suggestion would be to put focus on one thing, maybe work through ctrlpaint.com and also to draw from reference. Good luck, have fun.
Okay that all makes sense, I see it the same way. Like a very difficult puzzle that can almost always be improved. I can see the fun in it even if I'm not very good at it as a beginner. But to note the way I stacked the above symmetry is correct, no?
its a good start, the concepts are fun! I feel like you could carry over more of that angular sharpness into your sculpt, stay at a fairly low subdivision level and use the flatter or trim brushes to create those flat sharp angles in the concept.
Alright sweet. I've made a bit of progress. For now this is just my first pass on the textures. I'll go back over them again eventually. I'm really just trying to have some fun with this contest and not take things too seriously lol..
What about enjoying what you are doing? Most of the talented people I have met simply really enjoy their work. Seems the reason they can pump out brilliant stuff without having to worry about motivation, or success is they are having a lot of fun.
Thx Reza for the tip Here's a QoP concept i did for fun. P.S Yea I know there is no way that armor would fit the poly limits. But maybe Valve will one day add some slots to Queen of pain sooo until then ... :D ^Taken
We're on the same boat as far as learning MODO by yourself. I have only opened MODO once!!! I'd like to see your progress with it, maybe we can help each other out. It's more fun to learn with others and to share the frustration along with it!
And some color variations, quite fun making these actually. Feel free to reply which versions you think fit / doesn't fit. Like the cameo ones myself in addition to 7, 8 and 11-13. I blame my GF for #13 as well :)
Great work guys. Will add comments soon, but these are great starts. I just blocked a kick in last night. Lots of work to do but the major actions seem solid. This is more of a "stylized" take on the kick than an accurate depiction of the style. Just having fun with it.
Hi ! Here is my Throne Room, Lizzie's Laboratory ! That was fun to do ! I used UE4, 3dsmax, photoshop, crazybump, zbrush. This is the atlas used for all the assets of the scene but the throne : The original concept art : I learned a lot during this contest, that was really cool !
