My general advice would be to spend as little as possible. Making indie games is a risky venture, and the best way to reduce that risk is by being frugal. The perpetual license of the ECS is over $7000, and it really seems like a luxury when you should be able to do the job just as easily with either Max or Maya… -

Yeah, I've got the Maya and the Substance student licences for free. Honestly it's so great that these are available to people learning for cheap/free! That's a great deal for Quixel, might need to check that out! I pay £8ish/m for Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom, which is a pretty good deal! I just wish Zbrush had a cheap… -
