Smart Normals - What's that?
So I just watched a webinar by Forrest Stephan, CG Supervisor at Cloud Imperium Games (Star Citizen). At some point he talked about how they cannot fake detail with normals anymore and that they use something called "smart normals". I didn't hear about this approach yet and google didn't help much. Can anyone share a good… -

It's a good start. You're missing a lot of the sharper point in the cranium the concept makes, but that should mostly just be a move tool operation. -

Pink and Teal, every time. But, it's so effective at producing that mood. Had to light a night club and strip club for a project. And that was the basic starting point. -
Star Citizen Fan Art - Laser Pistol
Started a new project and wanted to share the progress. Finished the High poly, Low Poly, and bakes. The model is about 4,500 tris and the bakes are 2048x2048.
