Hm, the main charme of the concept lies in the special form of the skull. You replaced that with a more regular skull which looks vastly different. Ha, just watched Drive Angry yesterday was a great film. Nice Sculpt. The thing that looks off to me is the forehead its too big at the top. I can see you've followed the ref, but those lines look more like just skin bulges(on the ref)whereas on yours they look like the skull has formed them. The skull doesnt curve like. -

Wow what a badass concept The anatomy is pretty good, the temples are very wide compared to a normal skull but it fits with the form of the shield so that's going to have to be your call on what you think looks better.
